Great story and great song.  This song got a lot of airtime on MTV.  I can still remember seeing the original Martha Quinn stating that was Warrant after the song played one time.  Funny how we remember small details from our lives. 

Faceplant

Eeks.  This young lady hurt a lot more than just her face.  It hurts just to look at her.  Obviously not a fatal fall, but there's going to be an awful lot of bruising going on!  She's going to be hurting too much to even be embarrassed.  Poor soul. (Kind-of funny, though, when you know that the only person this could possibly happen to is YOU!). Maybe she should have worn shorts and sneakers like the other contestants!  And the title of Miss Elegance goes to....NOT YOU.  Lol.

(from Lamborghini Press Release)  A Lamborghini Gallardo has been donated to the Italian State Police (Polizia di Stato) by Automobili Lamborghini SpA. The V10, 500 bhp 190 mph performance car has been liveried in the colours of the state police and includes a siren and flashing lights on the roof. This is the first time that a Lamborghini will be used by Italian police.

The Gallardo police car will be used by the traffic police (Polizia Stradale) during emergency situations on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway in southern Italy. It is equipped with apparatus to transmit and receive information and images in critical situations such as road traffic accidents, fires and other disaster situations. It will also be fitted with the Italian police’s Provida system which records traffic violations and sends images in real-time, and has a direct connection to the police database as well as the Elsag ‘Autodetector’ system for number plate recognition.

In addition, the Gallardo is equipped with first aid equipment including defibrillator apparatus with the capability to perform electrocardiograms, and automatic diagnosis of arterial pressure and the presence of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood. The car will also be used for the transportation of plasma and human organs for transplant.

The police’s use of their Lamborghini Gallardo won’t be limited to fair-weather driving: as well as the benefits of the Gallardo’s permanent four-wheel drive, during winter months it will also sport special ‘Sottozero’ snow tyres developed by Pirelli for Lamborghini.

This could be an officer's fantasy come true....tackling a semi-nude male in front of hundreds of spectators on the floor of the outdoor stadium.  Ahhh, the sun is shining, the air smell of fresh grass and male sweat, the officer gets to be on top playing roly-poly.  I wonder about the second officer.  Is he going to play, too?  He's either upset that he's missing out on all the fun...or he's trotting over to the scene a little slower than usual because it's just eewwwwww!  Lol.  Why is there always a streaker at a big game?  And why is this one wearing a thong?  Just a tad bit shy, maybe?  Lol.

A World of Weed

Oh my gosh!  Can you imagine?  I don't know how many people have smelled the aroma that comes from marijuana plants, but that officer is getting a pretty hefty whiff of a sweet smell.  It really does smell nice.  He probably thinks he's gone to heaven, wondering if just the aroma is making him high.  Lol.  That's a huge cultivation there.  Tsk tsk.  Somebody lost out on BIG BUCKS. 

This was a smash hit for Vicki Lawrence in the 1970's, becoming the #1 hit in April of 1973.  Interesting stories were told through song in the 1960's and 1970's.
