Confused

I think I've been away from VOX for too long because I don't understand these new categories, not to mention trying to find my way around the new setup. But as for the new categories (Life, Entertainment, Music, Technology, etc)......what exactly is that? Do we JOIN those categories or just wander over and look through them? And who decides what posts get placed within the categories? What if I want to write something specifically for the Life Category.....how does that work?? My brain isn't quite as sharp as it used to be. And it's too COLD to go outdoors and have the dust blown off my partially-operating brain. By the way, do we know if George W. Bush gets outdoors a lot?? Lol.
