Show us something happy.

This would make me very happy. I've ridden horses many times, but I've never been in the water with them....let alone having the horse swimming beneath me. I would have to say that this definately qualifies as a happy photo for the VOX Hunt.
This is the front page photo that I will be using for my Blog during the month of July, 2008. This is a Calgary, Alberta, Canada policewoman who agreed to having her photo taken. She is having a bit of fun with the camera. The front page photo, as you probably already know by now, is always dedicated to "the men and women in blue" worldwide.
"Don't do it, dude. I know you only feel like half a lemon, but you still have so many purposes for your life. Hey, a garnish. You could be a garnish! Or...oh, I know...a protective device for a woman to carry around with her. You'd like that, man, wouldn't you? Just please don't do it. Think about the seeds, dude. They'll never know their father. Oh, whatever. I'm next anyway. Go ahead. I'll meet you in those alcoholic drinks the humans are gulping back. Here's to the plunge, twist and squeeze."
Oh, the wonders of snow. Look what I can do, look what I can do!!!! He must have rolled that ball for quite some time to get it that big. And you know it's heavy. I wonder if the other lions want to play, or they think maybe they should keep their distance from the crazy one. All the work he put into making that size of a snowball. Wow. He surely was having fun.
The sun is shining today, the sky is a lovely blue in places with thin white wisps of clouds in others, it feels warm (I'm even just wearing a t-shirt), and snow? I don't see any after all the rain we got the other day. It's a beautiful day with the sunshine glistening in through my patio doors and teasing me as I sit here and type. There is a melody of bird song amongst the trees, and I've even seen Sammy the Squirrel jumping around from branch to branch.
Most people watch the television series "Lost", so I decided to use this video clip to go along with U2's song. I have to admit that when the airplane was shown breaking up and the fear running through the passengers, I freaked a tad. Swissair Flight 111 did not crash in that manner, but any jumbo jet (heavy) that goes down impacts upon me. I know the scenes are just that...scenes...but you can't help but to flash back to a traumatic event when you see a trigger. But other than that, it was very nice to see all the characters from the show....smiling, happy, alive....incorporated into U2's Beautiful Day song. Even after tragedy......the soul always strives to be.
I am so excited! Can't you tell from the photo?? I'm in love with speed (and I'm not talking about meth, although this girl certainly could have had her fair share of it! Lol). I've lived in the dinosaur age of screeching connections over the phone lines for years, and today I am finally scheduled to go High Speed. Yippee!! It's not the ultra fast version (15x faster), but still high speed (5x faster)....and no more tying up the phone line. I know you all are thinking I'm crazy ("It's just high speed. Sheesh!"), but I can't afford things like this; however, after some research, I found that it is actually less expensive for me through my regular phone company to enroll in the "Basic Phone and Basic Internet" bundle. I won't have cable tv anymore, but you know what? I only turn it on when I'm watching a DVD, anyways! So why the heck am I paying for it every month??? Well, for my daughter's entertainment, but....I want SPEED. Lol! And she hates the slowness of my computer, so it's all good! As an example, I was told that ultra high speed would allow me to see a music video in 10 seconds, basic high speed (the one I'm getting) will allow me to see it in 45 seconds, and dial-up (of which I've always lived with) will allow me to see it in about 42 hours!!!!! Lol. And then only if it buffers correctly and doesn't go wrong somewhere down the line. I'm in love with my Mr. High Speed installer....even if the Mr. turns out to be a Mrs!! I don't care! The installer will be here between 2-4pm, and it's noon now. Can't wait, can't wait!! So my phone company will provide both my phone service (I already have voice mail, but for $3 more I can have two other features...so I'm getting Call Display and Call Screen.....since the police can't do anything about Mr. Stalker Man, and maybe THIS will finally be the way to get him to stop calling me!), and they will provide my High Speed (meaning they will be my ISP as well). So now I can stop paying Netscape for being my ISP, and that makes my monthly bill even smaller!!!! I'll be getting MORE for LESS each month. So......that's the reason for the contorted photo. I'm excited. Can't wait, can't wait!!!!! *big smile*
